The headlines are full of good news about the local economy, all the signs are there that the real estate market is climbing again, and Raleigh continues to land at or near the top of “Best Places to Live” lists in what seems to be every category imaginable. If we take those factors and combine them with low interest rates, low prices, and the lowest inventory of homes on the market that we’ve seen in a while, I think we may have the recipe for a blazing spring market in Raleigh real estate.
I have personally seen the market gearing up furiously with things moving quickly so far in 2013. Showings are up and homes are selling faster than they have in the past several years. Not only have I had several occasions this year when I was showing a house at the same time as two other agents, but also several times where there was a bidding war on a property!! A robust real estate market is exciting and benefits buyers, sellers, and our community as a whole.
That’s Life in Raleigh.
